The EarthQuaker Devices Sunn O))) HalfLife takes the original circuit from the beloved Life Pedal V3 and cuts it down to size, all while retaining every ounce of its heavy, saturated tone. This unrelenting, dual-trigger octave-distortion and boost box features an Amplitude side for unrelenting, grinding distortion and a Magnitude side for a MOSFET-driven clean volume boost. Intuitive controls allow you to dial in your preferred gain flavor, while the Octave knob blends an octave-up effect to the distortion for additional layering. Likewise, a 3-position Clip control offers up Symmetrical, Asymmetrical, and OpAmp clipping options, each delivering varying degrees of compression and dynamics. Though best paired with vintage valve amps for maximum overload, the Sunn O))) HalfLife unleashes a torrent of vast, grinding distortion that’s built for any chaos-fueled setup.
