The Story
ESP Original STEPHEN CARPENTER STEF-B7 1HUM 7-string - Purple Satin [MIJ - Made In Japan]
This is the latest signature model from guitarist Stephen Carpenter, one of the central figures in DEFTONES.
Building upon previous signature models, it features a 3-piece hard maple through-neck construction, an alder body in a HORIZON shape, an ebony fingerboard, and a 686mm scale length.
While previous models had either three or two pickups, this model has a simpler configuration with only one Fishman Fluence SRC Signature pickup in the bridge position.
The bridge is a Tune-o-matic type, and the strings are strung through the back of the body, as with previous models.
The controls consist of a master volume and master tone, with the volume control also functioning as a switch pot, allowing for pickup voice changes.
